Terms of Service
Effective August 6, 2026
These terms are a binding agreement between you and Social Design Lab, which operates Roundcade. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Roundcade.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Roundcade. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to online contracts or for consenting to the processing of your personal data, that higher age applies to you. You must give us an accurate date of birth, and you must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe the account holder does not meet these requirements.
Your account
Playing requires an account. Keep your password secret and unique to Roundcade. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, unless it results from our own failure. Two-factor authentication is not yet available for player accounts. Tell us at socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account, and you can sign other devices out yourself from your settings.
One account per person. You may hold one Roundcade account. Do not create or use a second account, and do not play against, wager with, or move value between accounts you control or share. This applies whether or not the other account is registered in your name. Running more than one account is a serious violation: we may close every account involved and reverse value moved between them. If you have lost access to an account, contact us at socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com rather than making a new one, and we will help you recover it.
You may delete your account at any time from your settings. Deletion is scheduled 30 days ahead and you can cancel within that window. What is and is not erased is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Matchmaking
Public rooms and quick match are filled automatically so that a game can start straight away instead of leaving you waiting for a full lobby. When you create a private room and invite people yourself, you are playing the people you invited.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- harass, threaten, stalk, or bully anyone, or encourage anyone to harm themselves;
- post or send content that is hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or unlawful;
- upload, share, request, or link to child sexual abuse material, or sexualise anyone under 18 in any form. This is permanently disqualifying and is reported to the authorities. See the section below;
- impersonate another person, or publish anyone's personal information without their consent;
- cheat, use unauthorised automation, exploit bugs, tamper with game state, or interfere with fair play;
- probe, scan, overload, or attempt to bypass our access, security, or rate-limiting controls;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect information about other players;
- advertise, spam, run contests, or solicit money from other players; or
- use Roundcade to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.
Roundcade is a social service and it exists to be a decent place to play. We enforce these rules, and we would rather warn you than remove you.
Child sexual abuse material and the sexualisation of minors
There is no warning, no strike, and no second chance for this. Uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to child sexual abuse material, or sexualising anyone under 18 in any image, caption, message, name, or voice room, results in the immediate and permanent closure of your account. It is not subject to the ordinary appeals process below.
We preserve the content, the account, and the associated records, and we report to law enforcement and to the relevant child protection authorities. We will cooperate fully with them, including by providing account and technical records, whether or not you are told in advance. Nothing elsewhere in these terms limits what we may disclose in these cases.
Roundcade is an adults-only service and everyone using it must be at least 18. If you encounter this material anywhere on Roundcade, report it immediately using the report control on the content, or write to socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com. Reports of this kind are prioritised above all other moderation work.
Moderation, suspension, and appeals
Photos and profile pictures appear as soon as you upload them. They are not checked by a person beforehand, and no automated system judges what the picture shows. Every uploaded image is converted into a new file and stripped of camera and location data first, and files that are not ordinary images are refused, but that is a technical safety step and not a judgement about the content. This means you may encounter content that nobody has reviewed. Please report anything that breaks these rules.
Captions are checked automatically against a list of terms associated with abuse, advertising, and scams. A match does not delete or reject your post: it holds it for a person to look at before it appears. Editing a caption on a post that is already visible runs the same check again.
Other players can block you, mute you, or report you. Reports are reviewed by our staff, who can see what was reported, the reporter's description, and a snapshot of the reported content, and who can suspend an account. Every such action is logged with a written reason and requires a second authentication factor. Some automated protections also operate, including limits on how often sensitive actions can be repeated, a small blocklist of slurs in public lobby channels, and a restriction on posting links from very new accounts.
A picture that has been removed cannot be uploaded again, and we keep a copy of removed content as the record of why it was removed, including where it is evidence in a report, an investigation, or a legal request.
We may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or end access where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, or where we must act for safety, security, or legal reasons. Where it is practical and lawful, we will tell you what happened and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to us or write to socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com and a person will review it. Serious cases, particularly those involving safety, may be actioned immediately.
Your content
You keep whatever rights you already have in the messages, drawings, profile text, and other content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display that content, and to make technical modifications such as reformatting, only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and support the service. This licence ends when the content is removed, except for copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy, in another user's conversation, or in moderation and backup records.
You confirm you have the rights to the content you submit and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Our content
Roundcade's software, game designs, artwork, music, and branding are owned by Social Design Lab or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. All music on Roundcade is original and is not licensed for use outside the service. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Roundcade for your own entertainment. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from it, except where the law expressly allows it. Third-party material we use under licence is credited on our Credits and Attribution page.
Photo posts and profile pictures
You may post photographs and set a profile picture. Images only: no video, and no links in place of an image. You must own the picture or have permission to use it, and it must not show another person in a way they would object to. Do not upload anything that is not yours to share.
Every upload is converted into a new file and stripped of camera and location data, and files that are not ordinary images are refused. Your picture then appears immediately. As set out above, nothing examines what it shows beforehand, so the report control is how content gets removed. A picture that has been removed cannot be uploaded again.
You can delete your own posts and take down your own profile picture at any time, without asking us.
Voice rooms
Where voice is available to your account, you may join rooms and speak. Your microphone is only ever switched on by you, on your own device. A host can mute you, move you off the microphone, remove you from a room, or ban you from it, and can control who may enter and who may take a microphone. A host can never turn your microphone on remotely.
We do not record voice rooms and we do not store the audio. That also means we cannot review what was said after the fact, so a voice complaint is handled from the surrounding record: who was present, when, and what moderation actions were taken. Treat a voice room as a public place: assume anyone present can hear you and could record you themselves using their own device.
The rules under Acceptable use apply to speech in a voice room exactly as they apply to text.
Following, feeds, and recommendations
Following someone is one-way and is not the same as being friends. When you set a post to be visible to everyone, it can be recommended to people who do not follow you, and each recommendation shows a short line explaining why. That explanation is built only from things like shared games and mutual connections. It never uses your spending, your payment records, your private messages, or your device.
You can hide any recommended post from your own feed, and the author is not told. You can set who may see your follower and following lists in Privacy Settings.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Roundcade infringes your copyright, email socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com with the subject line "Copyright complaint". Include enough detail to identify the work and the material you say is infringing, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, a statement that the information is accurate, and your signature as the rights holder or their agent. We will review it, remove or disable material where appropriate, and may close the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe your content was removed in error, tell us and we will reconsider.
Coins, VIP, and virtual items
Coins are earned inside Roundcade and have no cash value. They cannot be bought with money, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred out of Roundcade. They are a licence to use an item inside the service, not property, and they expire with your account. We may change what an item costs, retire an item, or adjust how Coins are earned.
VIP reflects an account's standing and unlocks cosmetic items and features. VIP items are cosmetic: they do not make you win, and they give you no advantage in any game. Some items appear in your locker because of who you are on the platform rather than because you obtained them, and those cannot be bought, given, or transferred.
Where you make a payment, the terms shown to you at the time apply, including how to cancel and how refunds work. Any competition or prize feature is offered only where it is lawful, with its own published rules and eligibility requirements.
Gems, match fees, and withdrawals
Gems are separate from Coins and are never exchanged for them. Gems are used only in Gem Competition, which is a separate queue from free and practice play and is never filled with bots. Gem Competition is offered only where it is lawful and only for the games we have approved for it. It is not available until we switch it on, and we will say so on the screen when it is.
What a settled match costs. Every player in a Gem match stakes the same amount, and those stakes are locked before the match begins. A stake cannot be changed after the match is accepted, and the server result is the only settlement authority. A valid settlement charges a platform fee of 2.5 percent of the total pot, with a minimum of 1 Gem. A Gem tournament charges 5 percent of its prize pool instead. Winners are paid in whole Gems, so when a pot cannot be divided evenly the platform keeps any remainder. The confirmation and result screens state the exact amount kept as one figure covering the fee and any remainder together, in Gems rather than as a percentage, because the 1 Gem minimum means the smallest stakes work out higher than the headline rate. There are no other charges. A draw, a void, or a cancelled match returns every stake in full and charges nothing.
Withdrawals. Only Gems you have won in settled matches can be withdrawn. Purchased Gems are playable but are not paid out, and promotional Gems are not withdrawable until their published requirement is complete. A request is between 300 and 3,000 Gems and carries a fixed, disclosed fee: 6 Gems on 300 to 999, 12 Gems on 1,000 to 1,999, and 18 Gems on 2,000 to 3,000. You may have one request open at a time and one approved withdrawal every 24 hours. You see the amount you are withdrawing, the fee, and the amount you will receive before you submit.
Every withdrawal is reviewed by a person and approved separately before any payout is sent. GCash is the only withdrawal method. Your first successfully submitted request links one GCash account name and mobile number to your Roundcade account. You cannot replace that GCash identity yourself. If it needs correction, you must contact support and complete identity and payout-account verification. An authorized operator may then make an audited correction. The same mobile number cannot be linked to a second Roundcade account. The GCash account must be in your own name. We may decline a request, and we will tell you why. A declined or cancelled request returns your Gems in full. We may also decline or reverse activity connected to fraud, chargebacks, duplicate or linked accounts, self-play, or any attempt to manipulate a result, and we may hold a payout while we investigate one.
Tournaments: turning up, and what happens if you do not. A tournament publishes the date and time its registration closes before you enter. Once it starts, the entry fee is in play and is not refundable. Each pairing has a published time limit. If you are not there for your match within that limit, the match is forfeit, you are removed from the bracket, and your entry fee is not returned. This is not a penalty for its own sake: the people who did turn up cannot be left waiting on someone who is not coming, and a bracket that never advances holds everyone else's Gems too. If a tournament is cancelled before it starts, every entry is refunded in full, as set out above.
Watching a tournament. Anyone may be able to watch a tournament match. A viewer sees only what is already public in that game. Anything hidden stays hidden from viewers and from the other player alike until the match is over, so being watched cannot reveal your position, your hand, or anything else you would not otherwise show.
If a payment is reversed after we have credited it. Gems are delivered as soon as your payment is verified, and you can play them immediately. If a payment we have already credited is later reversed, recalled, or charged back, we remove the Gems it paid for. If those Gems have already been spent, the shortfall becomes an amount you owe us, and we may restrict account features until it is settled. Disputing a payment for Gems that were delivered and played is a breach of these terms in its own right, separate from the payment, and we may permanently close the account and any account linked to it. If you believe a charge is genuinely wrong, tell us first at socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com and we will correct a real error ourselves, including one that is our fault.
Availability
Roundcade is provided for casual entertainment. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and we may run maintenance without notice. We do not promise that rooms, matches in progress, in-room chat, or game results will be preserved, and in-room chat in particular is deliberately temporary. We aim for a reliable service but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roundcade is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not responsible for the conduct of other players, whether online or offline. Nothing here excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights as a consumer.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Social Design Lab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or access, arising from your use of Roundcade. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or five thousand Philippine pesos. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Social Design Lab harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from content you submit, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms or of the law. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own act or omission, and we will tell you promptly of any claim and let you participate in its defence.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.
Please contact us at socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com first: most disputes are resolved quickly and informally. If that fails, the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction, subject to the consumer rights described above.
General
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor operator of the service, and we will tell you if we do. Neither of us is liable for failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control. Together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, these terms are the entire agreement between us about Roundcade.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date, and where a change materially affects your rights we will notify you in the service and, where the law requires it, ask you to accept the new version before continuing. Continued use after an update means you accept it. Questions go to socialdesignlab.ph@gmail.com.
